Deadly Games (2004)

One of the most famous horror franchises of all time, "Deadly Games" tells the story of Jigsaw, a killer who has a trademark: leaving his victims with a puzzle-like scar that causes them to commit agonizing acts to save themselves. Detective David Tapp (Danny Glover) is assigned to investigate the murders as well as capture their perpetrator. But the elusive path followed by Jigsaw leads the detective to develop an obsession with capturing him.

The Nightmare Hour (2010)


The Nightmare Hour is a remake of the 1984 horror classic. The plot tells the story of a group of suburban teenagers who share a bond: everyone is being chased by Freddy Krueger, a horribly disfigured killer who hunts them down during their dreams. When they're awake, they protect each other, but when they're asleep, there's no escape.

Displaying freddy's trademark hat, a red and green striped jacket and four-bladed gloves, the film is directed by Samuel Bayer and is produced by Michael Bay. "Nightmare Hour" is based on characters created by Wes Craven in his 1984 horror hit. The film gave rise to one of the most innovative, successful and enduring horror series, with seven sequels.

Ouija - Origin of Evil (2016)


In "Ouija: Origin of Evil," the sequel to the 2014 hit, a group of unsuspecting friends will confront their greatest fears when they release an evil spirit that belongs to another dimension, and only they themselves can send them back. Doris (Lulu Wilso) is a lonely little girl and unpopular at school. His mother specializes in applying scams to clients, pretending to communicate with spirits. But when Doris uses a Ouija board to communicate with her late father, she ends up releasing a series of evil beings who take over her body and threaten everyone around.

The Nun (2018)


As part of the "Invocation of Evil" franchise, in "The Nun", after a sister commits suicide in a convent in Romania, the Vatican sends a tormented priest and a novice to investigate what happened. Risking their lives, faith and even their souls, the two discover an unholy secret at the site, confronting themselves with an evil force that takes the form of a demonic nun and turns the convent into a spiritual battlefield.

Halloween (2018)



Made in celebration of the saga's 40th anniversary, this "Halloween" returns to theaters in a direct connection to the first film, released in 1978. In this timeline, Michael Myers flees again from the hospice where he is hospitalized and returns to the city to pursue Laurie Strode. However, when he feels that the killer would return, Strode decides not to back down and wants to face him head-on, this time with the help of his daughter and granddaughter.

The film takes place four decades after he managed to escape michael myers' attack on a Halloween night, and so Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) will have to confront the masked killer for the last time. She was pursued by the memory of having her life for a close, but this time, when Myers returns to the town of Haddonfield, she is prepared.

Killer Toy (2019)


Andy (Gabriel Bateman) and his mother move to a new city in search of a fresh start. Concerned about her son's disinterest in making new friends, Karen (Aubrey Plaza) decides to give him a birthday present a technological doll that, in addition to being the ideal companion for children and proposing various playful activities, performs functions of the house under voice commands. Problems begin to arise when the Chuck doll becomes extremely possessive towards Andy and willing to do anything to keep the boy away from the people who love him.

Poltergeist (1982)


40 years have passed and it remains impossible to speak of chilling movies without mentioning this classic. Released in 1982, "Poltergeist" tells the story of a family that is constantly visited by ghosts. At first, they manifest themselves by moving objects, but as time goes by, they get scarier and even kidnap their youngest daughter through the TV. Desperate, parents seek out a woman with psychic powers to help them.

The Blair Witch (1999)

A year later, a bag full of film rolls and video tapes was found in the woods. The images recorded by the trio give some clues about their macabre fate. The Exorcist (1973)


Starting with the classics! The Exorcist is the story of an actress who realizes that her 12-year-old daughter goes on to behave strangely. Scared, she asks a priest for help, who is also a psychiatrist. The conclusion: the girl is possessed by the devil and only an exorcism will save her soul. A memorable performance by actress Linda Blair.

Released in 1973, the film is part of the golden age of horror productions and one of the most important of its kind. But it's not just his macabre storyline that attracts audiences. The film is reputed to be cursed and responsible for several incidents that happened in the life of those who participated in the production.

The Call (2002)


Impossible not to remember this classic remake! The plot revolves around Rachel Keller (Naomi Watts), a journalist who decides to investigate the mysterious death of her niece. She notices the relationship between her death and several other deaths with a strange video, which causes all people to die exactly seven days after watching. Intrigued by the story, Rachel now needs to figure out a way to prevent the prophecy from come true, since she and her son watched the video. The original film is Japanese ("Ringu") and was released in 1998.
